<This is the start | Surrender Is Not The Answer>

Love Won't Get Us Where We're Going (recorded in January and May — June 2013)

I have remixed and remastered this album to eliminate clipping and to increase the dynamic range. Both versions are available, so pick your poison. If you've already heard the album in its original incarnation, try the new one. I think it sounds miles better. But you'll need to turn it up louder. Better dynamic range means quieter mix.

This project started, unbeknownst to me, back in December 2012. I had a flood of inspiration for Rural Citizens Band and was happy I was trying new things. I wanted to do more dance-based music, but when I started in January 2013, I originally wasn't satisfied with the three or four songs I created. Also, I was so impressed with the final album, especially the last track "entspannungsübungen," I was thinking of hanging up the RCB name forever.

A few months later, in May 2013, I caught the bug to do some more dance-based music. I had forgotten about the four songs I had recorded earlier, so after recording some new material, I went back and re-worked the old material until I was happy with them.

As evidence by the first and last tracks, I'm not completely through with the whole ambient thing. In fact, I did an ambient remake of the last track, A Rainy Day In Space. I'm calling it Deeper Into Space and it has been released under the old Rural Citizens Band moniker.
